Evolv was born in Southern California from a love of recreational shooting and a passion to create innovative products. With over 25 years of product development experience creating dozens of consumer goods in various industries with several international and domestic patents, we set out to solve a problem that we saw with the current steel targets on the market.

  Current targets are just too bulky, cumbersome and a total pain in the ass to store, transport and set up. In Southern California most ranges rent their steel bays either by the hour or in 2 hour blocks which means you only have so much time to shoot before you are expected to pack up and be out for the next customer.

  By the time you unload your steel and paper target stands, get them all assembled, staked down and positioned...you've already eaten up 20 minutes of range time and that's before you unpack guns or get any of your guests squared away. You still need time to break down all of these targets and pack them back up before the 2 hour mark so you're out of the bay for the next customer. That means you're going to have close to one hour of actual range time even though you paid for two.

 I was personally packing all of my steel steel targets inside the rear of my brand new SUV. Even with the cardboard I put down there was damage being done by the steel from loading, unloading and driving down the bumpy roads that most of these ranges are on. My interior was taking a beating! Not to mention all of the room it took up and the noise the steel made clanging around inside my car.

 

On top of that, I had to store all of these targets somewhere when I got home and they were all just awkwardly shaped and took up too much space. I quickly learned that I wasn't the only one experiencing these problems.
